Advertising Disclosure

How SpotMe is funded. SpotMe's core features — creating a profile, discovering members in your gym community, matching, and messaging — are free. SpotMe may be supported by paid advertising and sponsorships from local businesses. SpotMe does not currently charge subscriptions.

What advertising means on SpotMe. Paid placements — such as sponsored local business cards, gym community sponsors, fitness event promotions, and health and lifestyle offers — are clearly labeled as advertising or sponsored content so you can tell them apart from member profiles and SpotMe features.

What we don't do. We do not sell your personal information, dating preferences, matches, private messages, profile photos, or individual gym activity records to advertisers. Advertisers receive only aggregate, anonymous campaign performance data. We use audience-size thresholds to prevent the re-identification of any individual from advertising reports.

Ad partners and cookies. Advertising and measurement partners (such as Google and Meta) receive only the limited data described in our Privacy Policy, and only when you have accepted the corresponding cookies. We do not place advertising tracking scripts on protected screens such as private messaging or sensitive profile-editing pages.

Independence. SpotMe is an independent service and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any gym or fitness brand. Any gym or business that advertises on SpotMe does so as a paid advertiser and not as an official partner of SpotMe unless expressly stated.

Dating-service advertising. Advertising a dating or matching service on certain platforms may require their specific policy approval. SpotMe only runs such advertising after obtaining any required platform approvals.
